SpongeBob Tower Defense egg locations are spread across Story maps, Raid rotations, Challenge stages, and lobby areas during the Easter event. You do not need to beat any waves or complete the matches to register an egg; simply loading into the map, touching the egg, and leaving back to the lobby counts toward your progress.

The event is divided into two separate 20-egg stages: the Week 1 Casual Egg Hunt, which unlocks the limited Egg Cart Mount, and the Week 2 Elite Egg Hunt, which awards the limited Egg Bob unit.

How the Egg Hunt Works

Before starting your search, keep these core mechanics in mind:

  • No wave completion required: You can boot up any stage on normal difficulty, run straight to the egg, grab it, and leave to the lobby immediately.
  • Raid and Challenge rotations: Story maps, the Main Lobby, Trading Hub, Tower of Karate, and Rogue Mode are accessible at any time. However, Raids (Bubble Bowl, Mermalair, Middle Ages) and Challenges (Mrs. Puff's Boating School, Goo Lagoon, Christmas Conch Street, Flying Dutchman Ship, Patty Vault) cycle on timers. Check the active rotation boards in the lobby before queueing.
  • Decoys and moving puzzles: Certain maps, such as Krusty Krab, Chum Bucket, Atlantis, and Middle Ages, feature decoy eggs. Touching decoys triggers a "womp womp" prompt and causes the egg to relocate to another designated spot on that map until you collect the final version.
  • Prerequisite for Elite Hunt: You must collect all 20 Casual eggs before the game allows you to claim rewards and track Elite eggs.

All 20 Casual Egg Locations

The Casual hunt features 20 distinct eggs. Eight come from Story mode, four from Hub and Extra modes, three from Raids, and five from Challenges.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to complete the round to keep the egg?

No. As soon as your character touches an egg, an on-screen prompt confirms it has been collected. You can immediately click the settings or leave button and return to the lobby.

Why can't I enter Mermalair, Middle Ages, or Bubble Bowl?

Raids require players to be at least account level 25. If you are under level 25, you must level up your profile in Story or Endless modes before you can enter Raids to grab the Heroic, Dragon, and Band eggs.

How often do the Challenge and Raid maps rotate?

Raids and Challenge maps rotate on fixed timers, such as 30 minutes. If the map you need (such as Goo Lagoon or Christmas Conch Street) is currently inactive, check the countdown timer on the portal board in the lobby.
